Would You Believe...

With the cooler temps, I find it hard to spend quality time outdoors. Exercise is tougher, even walking the dog takes effort. This photo shows my introspective side. Hah! It was a class assignment from my Beyond Business As Usual class. Truth is my
friend and Eco Coach, Laura MacKimmie would have approved.
This was one way to spend part of Super Bowl Sunday.
Ah, the wisdom we can gather from nature,
if we give it a chance.

Good for you, Jo Ann! You're right. I most definitely "approve!" you look toasty in that parka, too!

There really are only two hurdles to overcome in going outdoors during inclement weather. Fear and peparedness. So often we "run" or "dash" to the car/mailbox/store without wearing clothing that would protect us completely from the elements. And then we complain "the weather is horrible/awfull/etc."
Feeling wetness, wind and cold are loving reminders from nature to bundle up, cover up, and be safe. Our failure to do so is what makes our experience in nature unpleasant. When we heed nature's advice, we begin to feel comfortable and safe.
So, if you repeat the habit of wearing clothing appropriate to the weather every time you venture outdoors, you will begin to lose the fear of what you will feel on the outside, and will begin to yearn for what can take place on the inside.
I'll see you outdoors! :)
